Bukowski published his first novel at 51.
Frank McCourt’s memoir came out when he was 66.
I’m in good company.

I grew up in rural northeastern Connecticut, playing baseball, riding my bike, fishing, and even picking tobacco. For many years I maintained a private psychotherapy practice counseling violent and abusive men. I’ve been married over 40 years, got 3 kids, 3 grandkids, a penchant for the drums, and a refusal to talk about myself in the 3rd person. I came to writing late in life and it took me 6 years to get Strike Two done. Strike Two was awarded the 2020 Dr. Adrian Tinsley Award for artistic achievement. It only took 4+ years to finish Samsara Interrupted, so I guess I’m getting the hang of it.

I hope you enjoy reading my books!
